All Four Rockwood High Schools Earn AP School Honor Roll Status

All four Rockwood School District high schools – Eureka, Lafayette, Marquette and Rockwood Summit – are among more than 5,700 schools in the US and Canada that earned 2025 AP School Honor Roll recognition.

The Advanced Placement (AP) School Honor Roll recognizes schools whose AP programs are delivering results for students while broadening access. Schools can earn this recognition annually based on criteria that reflect a commitment to increasing college-going culture, providing opportunities for students to earn college credit and maximizing college readiness. Only 36 percent of all eligible schools earned a place on this year's honor roll.

Eureka, Lafayette and Marquette earned the Silver honor roll designation, while Rockwood Summit earned Bronze. Around 1,700 schools nationwide earned Silver status, while around 1,600 earned Bronze. A total of 51 schools in Missouri are on this year's Honor Roll.

"We know it takes a significant schoolwide effort - dedication from teachers, counselors, administrators, students and parents - to make AP access a priority," Trevor Packer, head of AP and instruction, wrote in a letter to Honor Roll schools. "We join you in celebrating this inspiring achievement for your community. I'm inspired by your commitment and grateful for the chance to honor your success."

The College Board AP program gives students the opportunity to take challenging college-level courses while still in high school. A score of 3 or higher on an AP exam has multiple benefits for students, including earning college credit, advanced placement or both for successful performance on AP exams, saving them time and money once they get to college.

Rockwood offers 37 different AP courses at its four high schools. During the 2024-2025 school year, 2,097 Rockwood students took a total of 4,502 AP exams, and 91.1 percent scored 3 or higher.

This past spring, Rockwood students earned 1,028 AP Scholar awards, including 484 AP Scholars with Distinction, 207 AP Scholars with Honor, 303 AP Scholars, 23 AP Capstone Diplomas and 11 AP Seminar and Research Certificates. Click here to view criteria for the different AP awards.

Rockwood also offers opportunities such as the Early College Partnership and Make it Count! to help students earn college credits and get a head start on postsecondary education.
