Board of Education Approves Hire of Amy Boscan as Eureka High Assistant Principal
The Rockwood Board of Education has approved the hiring of Amy Boscan as a new assistant principal at Eureka High, effective July 1. She replaces Buddy Sodemann, who has been named the Rockwood director of research, evaluation and assessment, also effective July 1.
Boscan joins Rockwood after 20 years with the Parkway School District. She has spent the past two years teaching marketing at Parkway South High. Before that, she was the coordinator of CTE (career and technical education), global studies and world languages for the district for eight years. Her career at Parkway began with 10 years of teaching business and marketing, during which she also served as the A+ Schools Coordinator for five years.
Boscan earned her Bachelor of Arts in Marketing from Webster University, her Master of Arts in Teaching from Lindenwood University and her Master of Arts in Educational Administration from Southwest Baptist University.
"I’m incredibly honored and excited to serve as assistant principal at Eureka High,” said Boscan. “It’s a privilege to join a community so committed to excellence, and I look forward to supporting our students, staff and families in every step of their journey."
Boscan lives with her husband, Dorian, and their three children in Kirkwood.
