Board of Education Approves Hire of Dr. Brent Pearson as Eureka High Assistant Principal

The Rockwood Board of Education has approved the hiring of Dr. Brent Pearson as a new assistant principal at Eureka High, beginning July 1. He replaces Adam Ball, who is holding the position in an interim role for this school year.

Pearson is currently an assistant principal at Selvidge Middle, a position he has held since 2023. Prior to that, he taught journalism and was the student council advisor at Eureka High, where he worked since 2017. He is a 2021 ROSE Award recipient and has also served as a Rockwood Summer Academy assistant principal. At Selvidge, Pearson has played a leading role in creating Academic Lab programming as well as leading the school’s safety committee. During his previous tenure at Eureka, Pearson coached varsity boys and girls soccer and served as the Catpound student cheering section advisor. In his free time, he volunteers photographing sporting events and refereeing for Special Olympics.

Pearson earned his Bachelor of Science in Education from the University of Missouri-Columbia, a Master of Arts in Educational Administration from Lindenwood University and his Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership from Maryville University.

"I'm honored to return to Eureka High School and serve the community that helped shape who I am today as an educator,” he said. “I am committed to supporting students’ academic growth and extracurricular involvement, collaborating closely with staff and celebrating the strong school pride at EHS.”

Pearson lives with his fiancee, Jenna, and their dog, Rudy, in Webster Groves.
