Board of Education Approves Hire of Dr. Kenneth Peacock as Ridge Meadows Administrative Intern

Board of Education Approves Hire of Dr. Kenneth Peacock as Ridge Meadows Administrative Intern
The Rockwood Board of Education has approved the hiring of Dr. Kenneth Peacock as the next administrative intern at Ridge Meadows Elementary, beginning July 1. He replaces Nicholle Simmons, who is retiring at the end of the school year.
Currently, Peacock is the assistant principal at Becky-David Elementary in the Francis Howell School District. Prior to that, he taught preschool through third grade in the Kirkwood School District for 12 years. During his tenure in Kirkwood, he also had the opportunity to serve as a substitute principal and a summer school principal.
Peacock earned a Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Education from Saint Louis University, a Master of Arts in Curriculum and Instruction from Fontbonne University and both a Master of Arts in Educational Leadership and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Maryville University.
“I am excited to join the Rockwood School District and look forward to getting to know everyone in the Ridge Meadows community,” said Peacock. “Elementary is such a fun age, when children begin their foundations for learning. I am very excited for this year and eager to learn and grow alongside the amazing staff and students at Ridge Meadows Elementary!”
Peacock lives with his wife, Andrea, and their daughter and son in Wildwood.

More than 20 Rockwood educators were recently notified that they have been accepted into the one-year Ignite Rockwood Leadership program. The program is designed for educators who aspire to become a building or district administrator.
