Board of Education Approves Hire of Jenny McBride as 6-12 Literacy and Speech Coordinator

The Rockwood Board of Education has approved the hiring of Jennifer McBride as the new coordinator of literacy and speech 6-12, effective July 1. 

McBride currently serves as the K-12 English language arts (ELA) content leader in the Wentzville School District, a position she has held since 2021. Prior to that, she taught eighth-grade English and served as the department chair for two years in the Lincoln County School District. She also taught eighth-grade English for three years in the Montgomery County School District. 

McBride earned a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education and a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Missouri-St. Louis.

“I am incredibly excited and honored to be the new coordinator of literacy & speech in the Rockwood School District,” said McBride. “I am eager to contribute my passion and skills to this role and support the growth and success of all Rockwood students and staff.”

McBride lives in the Tower Grove area of St. Louis.
