Board of Education Approves Hire of Patrick McCart as Coordinator of Maintenance and Grounds Services

The Rockwood Board of Education has approved the hiring of Patrick McCart as the next coordinator of maintenance and grounds services, beginning July 1. He replaces Bill Branson, who is retiring after 32 years in Rockwood.

McCart has 16 years of experience on our district Facilities team. Currently, he is the electrical lead for the district, a position he has held since 2012 after having been hired as an electrician in 2009. Prior to working in Rockwood, he was an electrician for Bill Williams Construction Company in Cedar Hill, Missouri, for 11 years. He began his career as a maintenance technician at Maritz, Inc., where he worked for 10 years. He has also served on the Board of Directors for Public Water Supply District #8 in Cedar Hill.

McCart attended Jefferson College for Automotive Technology and South County Tech for Electrical Trades. He obtained his Electrical License through Jefferson County and has his certification, which includes ongoing training, through the Missouri School Plant Managers Association. He is also engaged in continuing education through the Electrical Board of Missouri and Illinois.

"I am very excited to get started in my new position of coordinator of maintenance and grounds and look forward to making a positive impact,” said McCart.

McCart lives in Catawissa, Missouri, with his wife, Terri.
