BOE Student Advisory Group Holds Final Meeting of '25-'26 School Year

The Rockwood Board of Education held its final Student Advisory Group meeting of the school year May 19 at Marquette High, before the regularly scheduled Board meeting and Board Awards ceremony.

An initiative of the Board's Communications, Outreach and Public Engagement Committee, the Student Advisory Group consists of juniors and seniors from Eureka, Lafayette, Marquette and Rockwood Summit high schools and the Pathways Wellness Center. Group meetings are opportunities for Board members to connect with, and hear directly from, Rockwood students.

The meeting included a presentation and discussion by Buddy Sodemann, director of research, evaluation and assessment, around the annual Social and Emotional Learning Survey that students take and how that data is used to improve support for students. The Board also recognized the recent graduates in the group and thanked them for their participation and insight. 

Members of the 2025-2026 Student Advisory Group are Caleb Pickens and graduate Andie Belz (Eureka High); Noah Bairu and graduate Vedha Inampudi (Lafayette High); Mithra Menon and graduate Ellie Pagan (Marquette High); graduate Lauren Dibble (Marquette and Pathways Wellness Center); graduate Broderick Davenport and Courtney Duff (Rockwood Summit High); and Marley Vanderveld (Pathways). 

Incoming members of the 2026-2027 Student Advisory Group, who are all rising juniors, were also invited to the meeting. They include: Tyler Rauls (Eureka), Brooke Belleville (Lafayette), Jonathan Li (Marquette), Elijah Newbanks (Rockwood Summit) and Gracie Stegall (Pathways).
