Candidates File for the Rockwood Board of Education
Candidate filing for the Rockwood Board of Education closed on Dec. 30, and the district has three citizens who have filed to run for three open seats. The seats are currently held by Kary Bachert, Bob Cadigan and Lynne Midyett.
In accordance with state statute, the Rockwood School District will not hold an election for the three-year terms for school board members this year because the number of candidates who have filed is equal to the number of positions to be filled. The three candidates who filed to run - Kary Bachert, Bob Cadigan and Amy Wassman - will be sworn into office at the School Board’s reorganization meeting on Thursday, April 9, 2026.

The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form for the 2026-2027 school year is now available for students to complete and submit, and the state of Missouri priority deadline is Monday, Feb. 2.
