Capital Planning Advisory Committee Seeks Rockwood Community Input

The Rockwood School District is forming a Capital Planning Advisory Committee made up of representatives from every patron group, including support staff, teachers, building administrators, district administrators, the Board of Education and members of the community. The Capital Planning Advisory Committee will meet quarterly to provide feedback and input on various aspects of the district's financial planning and communication with stakeholders. This includes offering feedback on the strategies used to communicate ongoing Proposition 3 budgeting and spending, as well as the capital planning process in general. The committee will also contribute insights on facility planning and demographic trends as part of the 2025 strategic planning process. 

The first meeting will be held Tuesday, Nov. 19, from 6-8 p.m. at Eureka High School. Agenda items will include: 

• A tour of some district buildings to provide insight on capital planning needs
• Update on Prop 3 funding and priorities
• Website design for Prop 3 planning and spending information
