Crestview Assistant Principal Nominated for National LifeChanger of the Year Award
Krista Boardman, an assistant principal at Crestview Middle, has been nominated for National Life Group’s 2024-2025 LifeChanger of the Year award.
LifeChanger of the Year recognizes and rewards the very best K-12 educators and school district employees across the United States who are making a difference in the lives of students by exemplifying excellence, positive influence and leadership.
Boardman was nominated by a former colleague, Rainah Pray, for her exceptional leadership and dedication. Boardman is in her first year at Crestview after spending 18 years as an assistant principal at Becky-David Elementary in the Francis Howell School District. She has been a pillar of support during times of transition, consistently demonstrating care for students and commitment to their growth.
“Krista epitomizes true leadership. She has developed crucial systems and is renowned for her engaging mindset training," Pray said in Boardman's nomination. "Her humility and tireless work ethic are unmatched. Her ability to listen, solve problems and provide thoughtful guidance makes her an invaluable asset to our community."
Each school year, LifeChanger of the Year receives hundreds of nominations from all 50 states and the District of Columbia, out of which 17 individual LifeChanger of the Year awards will be given: a grand prize winner, four grand prize finalists, 10 LifeChanger Award winners, a Spirit Award winner and a Spotlight Award winner.
Boardman is one of more than 600 nominees this year, including 25 from the state of Missouri.
Winners are chosen by a selection committee comprised of former winners and education professionals and will be announced in early 2025. Nominees must be K-12 teachers or school district employees. To be considered for an award, nominees must:
-
Make a positive impact on the lives of students;

Demonstrate exemplary leadership at the school and/or district level;
-
