Eureka High’s Dr. David Arledge Earns State Assistant Principal Award
Eureka High Assistant Principal Dr. David Arledge has been named the Missouri Association of Secondary School Principals (MoASSP) 2025 High School Assistant Principal of the Year.
MoASSP Executive Director Clark Mershon surprised Dr. Arledge with the good news in front of his family and cheering students and staff members on Dec. 16.
"It is truly an honor and very humbling," Arledge shared. "I am fortunate to do what I love every day and work with a tremendous staff and team that puts students and their needs first. I am lucky to be a part of this school community and our amazing kids in Eureka."
This is Arledge’s fifth year as an assistant principal at Eureka High. Previously, Arledge served the students and families in the Riverview Gardens and Ferguson-Florissant school districts.
"It’s clear that Dr. Arledge values not only academic excellence but also the well-being of every individual at Eureka High," Mershon said.
The awards program honors exceptional secondary school administrators who excel in delivering high-quality learning experiences and make outstanding contributions to the profession. The selection was made from more than 450 high school assistant principals in Missouri.
Dr. Arledge will be formally recognized at a spring conference from March 30 to April 2 at the Lodge of Four Seasons. He is now eligible to be considered for the 2025 National Association of Secondary School Principals assistant principal of the year award.
