More Than 20 Rockwood High School Students Earn All-State Music Recognition

A total of 22 Rockwood School District musicians representing all four high schools earned All-State recognition in concert band, jazz band, orchestra and The Collective, which is open to a variety of vocalists and instrumentalists.

This year, Rockwood is contributing three of the 12 musicians chosen for The Collective. Selected students will collaborate with an industry professional musician to create a concert of original songs. 

Selected students and alternates will participate in rehearsals and perform in public concerts for music educators, family and friends during the Missouri Music Educators Association (MMEA) In-Service Workshop and Conference, which runs Jan. 27-31 in Osage Beach.
