More than 70 Rockwood Students Earn Spots in Middle School All-Suburban Band, Orchestra
A total of 71 students representing all six Rockwood School District middle schools were recently selected to the St. Louis All-Suburban Middle School Concert Band, All-Suburban Middle School Jazz Band, All-Suburban Sixth-Grade Honor Orchestra and All-Suburban Middle School Honor Orchestra.
Students participated in auditions Monday, Oct. 21, for all ensembles except for the sixth-grade orchestra. Students are accepted to the sixth-grade orchestra based on the recommendation of their orchestra teacher. All ensembles will rehearse over the next couple of months with students from across the region. The orchestras will perform a concert at Ladue High on Jan. 11, and the bands will perform at Lindbergh High on Jan. 12.
Congratulations to these middle school student musicians and their teachers!
