Rockwood Announces 2024 Cornerstone Award Nominees
Each year, Rockwood recognizes its support staff members who demonstrate outstanding service to the district, including bus drivers, nurses, secretaries, custodians, computer support personnel, classroom assistants, Special School District teachers and all the other Rockwood employees who serve our students and staff every day.
This year, we received 112 Cornerstone nominations for 90 different support staff members. Now, a selection committee, led by Megan Griggs, Bob Schaeg and Amy Wehr, is in the process of carefully reviewing each nomination. Ten winners will be announced the week of Nov. 13, and these recipients will be formally honored at the ROSE Awards on Sunday, May 5, at the DoubleTree Hotel in Chesterfield.

Representatives from more than 90 institutions of higher learning, military/ROTC branches and trade schools will be in attendance at this year’s Rockwood/Parkway Regional College Fair, which takes place from 6-7:30 p.m. on Monday, April 20, at the Greensfelder Rec Complex at Queeny Park.

A total of seven Rockwood School District students have been selected for the 2026 Missouri Scholars 100, a statewide program that honors 100 of Missouri's top academic students in the graduating class of 2026.

A Marquette senior and co-editor-in-chief of the Messenger student media outlet, Samantha Perz plans to attend the University of Georgia Honors College as a double major in psychology and elementary education, with a minor in dance.

All four Rockwood School District high schools -- Eureka, Lafayette, Marquette and Rockwood Summit -- have chosen their Glory of Missouri Award recipients for 2026.
