Rockwood Celebrates National Principals Month

Rockwood Celebrates National Principals Month

October is National Principals Month, a time to shine a spotlight on the transformative power of our school principals. In the Rockwood School District, we are fortunate to have caring, dedicated principals who play essential roles in shaping their communities and paving pathways to success for the students, staff members and families in their schools.

Hear from some of our students about how their school principals have positively impacted their educational experience:

"Dr. Brandriff is always trying to help and support others, pushing us to be our best we can be. I would like to thank him for always greeting us with a smile and a positive attitude."

Eureka High senior Imani Renner, who has served on the school's Principal's Advisory Committee since her sophomore year, shared the following about Principal Dr. Corey Sink:

"Dr. Sink is not only an amazing principal at Eureka High School but a benevolent adviser as well! He leads the school excellently through his exceptional example and character. Our principal takes the time to form connections with his students and consistently offers his help to better our school experience in any way we need. He is always willing to lend a listening ear, and the humility and passion he possesses are so clearly exhibited. It is clear that he has a deep care and passion for education, and every decision he makes is an attempt to better his students. He does so much to ensure that the school year runs as smoothly as possible, and his involvement in our schooling is extraordinarily pronounced. Dr. Sink stands at the front of the school to greet students every morning, pops into classes to engage in discussions with students about their learning and attends football games to help the student section cheer on our team, creating a fun and rich environment at school. His impact at Eureka is monumental and so appreciated!”

Zara, Imani's twin sister, added, "Dr. Sink is great at encouraging students to pursue their goals, whether academically or athletically. He inspires kids to pursue their aspirations and encourages kids to work hard and to stay focused in school."

"Mrs. Schott is the best principal because she is nice and loving. When I have a bad day, she helps me and tells me she loves me and she tells me she is proud of me and she tells me I can do it."
