Rockwood Educators Earn Emerson Excellence in Teaching Awards
Westridge Elementary fifth-grade teacher Molly Clince, Eureka High Spanish teacher Jenni Highfill and Westridge special education teacher Sarah Studie have all been named 2024 Emerson Excellence in Teaching Award recipients.
The three Rockwood educators are among more than 100 teachers from across the St. Louis metropolitan area who are being recognized this year through the Emerson program as examples of truly outstanding educational excellence.
Clince and Highfill were each named their Rockwood school and grade-level Teacher of the Year for 2024-2025, and Clince earned the title of district Teacher of the Year in May.
In July, Clince was also selected as one of 34 Regional Teachers of the Year in the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) Missouri State Teacher of the Year process, out of 70,000 public school educators from across the state.
Studie is one of five educators to earn an Emerson award through the Special School District (SSD) of St. Louis County.
The Emerson Excellence in Teaching Awards, now in its 35th year, is one of the St. Louis region’s most recognized teacher recognition programs, helping the St. Louis community express admiration and gratitude for these educators' dedication to teaching our area’s students.
Congratulations to these outstanding Rockwood educators!
