May 22 marked the last day of the 2025-2026 school year in the Rockwood School District. All around the district, students and staff members ended another great school year with hugs, high-fives, waves and well-wishes.

The Rockwood Board of Education held its final Student Advisory Group meeting of the school year May 19 at Marquette High, before the regularly scheduled Board meeting and Board Awards ceremony.

More than 440 Rockwood School District students, groups and staff members were honored for their achievements during the Board of Education Awards Ceremony on May 19 at Marquette High.

Rising Marquette High senior Ayush Vasireddy presented his research at the Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair, earning one of only six first- or second-place awards in the Chemistry category and placing his project among the top 2 percent in the world.
