Rockwood Students Earn Spots in 2026 Missouri Scholars 100 Class

A total of seven Rockwood School District students have been selected for the 2026 Missouri Scholars 100, a statewide program that honors 100 of Missouri's top academic students in the graduating class of 2026.

Rockwood's representatives in this year's class are:

  • Michael Charleston, Rockwood Summit
  • Michelle Chen, Lafayette
  • Ellie Clark, Eureka
  • Connor Flinn, Eureka
  • Moriah Hayibor, Rockwood Summit
  • Samantha Perz, Marquette
  • Suchir Ryali, Lafayette

Now in its 32nd year, Missouri Scholars 100 is a program sponsored by the Missouri Association of Secondary School Principals (MoASSP). Schools across the state nominate candidates based on academic excellence. The selection process employs a formula considering the student’s grade-point average and ACT or SAT scores. Nominees must meet the criteria of an “Academic Decathlon,” successfully navigating 10 challenging academic events to showcase their scholastic strength. Nominees also exhibit excellent attendance, exemplary citizenship within the school and active participation in the school’s activities program.

“The Missouri Scholars 100 Program is one of the nation’s premier academic recognition programs and stands as a true celebration of learning,” Chris Hoehne, MoASSP executive director, in a release. “Students selected for this distinction have challenged themselves with rigorous coursework while maintaining the highest levels of academic excellence and giving back to their communities. The Missouri Association of Secondary School Principals and its Board of Directors proudly recognizes and celebrates the remarkable achievements of these students and the schools that support their success."

Missouri Scholars 100 students will be recognized at a luncheon on Sunday, May 3, in Columbia.
