Rockwood Winter Sports Athletes Earn All-Metro, All-State Honors

Rockwood Winter Sports Athletes Earn All-Metro, All-State Honors
A total of 16 Rockwood School District winter sports athletes earned All-State or St. Louis Post-Dispatch All-Metro recognition.
The honored athletes came from all four Rockwood high schools and spanned basketball, hockey, swimming and wrestling.

In addition, Lafayette golfer Austin Rinkenberger and Rockwood Summit baseball player Wyatt Schneider were each named a "Player to Watch" in the Post-Dispatch's spring sports preview sections.

Rockwood will conduct a test of its emergency notification system for community members on the evening of Wednesday, Sept. 9.

All four high schools in Rockwood School District are ranked among the top 38 in Missouri and the top 17 percent of all public high schools in the country, according to U.S. News & World Report's "2026-2027 Best U.S. High Schools" list.

Rockwood Summit High teacher Grace Podjeski is one of nine educators from around the country – and the only one from Missouri – to earn the 2026 Rising Star Award from the Journalism Education Association.
