Regular attendance is important for our students' success in school. Rockwood is committed to improving communication with parents regarding attendance.
Our middle and high schools use Rockwood Connect if there is a question about a student's attendance. Here are a few things parents need to know as we begin the school year.
If parents have not notified the school of their child's absence by mid-morning on the day of the absence, they will receive a voice message from their school principal.
A follow-up call will be made to those parents who have not called the school by early afternoon.
This message will be sent to the parents cell phones (primary and secondary) letting them know that they have a question about their child's absence.
In this message, principals will ask parents to call the school attendance secretary in order to clarify the reason for their child's absence.
Elementary parents will continue to receive personal phone calls from the school office for questions about attendance.
For more information on Rockwood's attendance policy and regulation 2310, visit the Board of Education.
If you have questions about the district's automatic notification system, please call Rockwood Communications at (636) 733-1140 or contact your school attendance secretary for further information.
