Text Messaging

smartphone with Rockwood logo

Rockwood has an automatic notification system that allows schools and the district to send text messages.

Parents and staff will receive an "OPT-IN" welcome text that looks like this:

"You're registered 4 SchoolMessenger messages. Txt STOP to quit, HELP 4 help. Std msg/data rates may apply. Freq varies."

The successful delivery of information is dependent upon accurate contact information.

  • Check your family phone numbers and email addresses on the Infinite Campus Portal. Texts will only be sent to cell phones associated with your child's information on Infinite Campus. If you do not have an Infinite Campus account, find out how you can get one.
  • The text will come from 67587, which is Rockwood's short code for text messaging.  Please add this number to your phone contact list.
  • If your contact information changes, please notify the school registrar immediately. Rockwood's automatic notification system receives an upload of student contact information each evening to ensure we have the most up-to-date contact information for our students.

School Messenger is the district’s vendor for text notifications. The district sent an invitation message to all phone numbers in our student information system. It will read:

Some phone carriers and pay-as-you-go phones do not support short-code messaging. If you receive error messages, please contact your phone provider. If you have other questions, please contact Rockwood Communications at (636) 733-1150.

Make sure the contact information for your student includes these phone numbers in the Infinite Campus Portal. Rockwood will not send text messages to phone numbers that are not connected to one of our students. Please note: It may take 24 hours for phone number additions to become active in the district's automatic notification system.

Your wireless provider may charge for individual text messaging depending on the plan associated with your wireless device.
