A MESSAGE FROM DR. BIRKENMEIER

Dear Falcon Family,

It's hard to believe the second semester has arrived! Remember, we will continue with our quarter schedule for the second semester.

In addition to the continuation of our schedule, the following procedures from the first semester will remain in place for the second semester for our in-person learners:

  • Students that ride the bus will be dismissed from their bus by a staff member beginning at 7:15 am. Students may then choose to eat breakfast in the cafeteria or will report to their first class of the day where they will remain until school begins at 7:47 a.m.
  • Students who are being dropped off by car can enter the building as early as 7:00 a.m. Please note that our students do not begin their first class until 7:47 a.m. In addition, it is important to remember that with our buses and the number of parents who will drop students off in the morning, our drop-off process will take time. Please be patient and plan accordingly.
  • For all information specific to the procedures we will use at Rockwood South, please view this important document.
  • Please review with your student their schedule on Infinite Campus and this map of our school. I have also provided a picture below this letter, for your viewing. The 6th-grade section is lined out with red arrows.
As we head into our weekend, please remember that our students will not have school on Monday, January 18, in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

We are excited about continuing our mission to discover, connect, and make a difference during our second semester! Please remember that our teachers will continue working with both in-person and online learners during this semester. We ask for your continued patience, grace, and increased communication with our teachers as we work together to support our students. I am confident about the commitment and unity of our Falcon Family!

We appreciate your partnership and support. Please do not hesitate to contact us with questions at 636-891-6850. Have a wonderful weekend!

With Falcon Pride,

Laurie

NEED HELP WITH INFINITE CAMPUS AND GRADES?

We have just what you need! Please watch this brief video created by our 7th-grade counselor, Jaime Finck, for assistance in navigating the IC Parent Portal. We have no doubt that you will find this to be time well-spent!

Also, remember that English Language Arts classes are different than other classes in IC because they are year-long classes. To see your child's grade in ELA, parents should look in "All Terms" or "4th term" for our most up to date grade.

NEED ASSISTANCE WITH YOUR CANVAS OBSERVER ACCOUNT?

We would like to provide you with some helpful information for accessing your observer account.

COMING TO RSMS? PLEASE READ HERE!
