In Rockwood, we are taking every precaution we can to help keep our students and our staff safe during the COVID-19 pandemic.
To ensure our school community is informed as we continue to move forward with our gradual phase-in plan for Rockwood students to return to in-person learning, we've developed a weekly dashboard to share a snapshot of health statistics in our district.
The dashboard includes the number of positive cases and numbers in quarantine for both students and staff. It will provide a weekly review of our own Rockwood statistics for early childhood and elementary schools, middle schools, high schools and our administrative offices. The data will be updated every Wednesday afternoon to reflect the most accurate information for the previous week.
"This weekly health dashboard provides valuable information for decision-making," noted Rockwood Superintendent Dr. Mark Miles. "We will review the overall health of our school district - alongside our established safety practices we've implemented in all schools. It will allow us to carefully monitor our mitigation efforts to keep schools as safe as possible during these challenging times."
The Rockwood Safe Together plan includes health and wellness protocols and guidelines that align with the St. Louis County Department of Public Health and the Centers for Disease Control. The school district will continue our regular collaboration with medical and healthcare professionals to do our best for Rockwood students, staff and our school community.
