Customize Your ParentSquare Experience
Are you finding it difficult to keep up to date with the posts coming from the district and your students’ schools? Did you know that you can set your app, text and email notification preferences in ParentSquare?
In this way, Rockwood School District parents and guardians can customize their experience with Rockwood’s new all-in-one communications platform by choosing if they would like to receive notifications from the district and their students’ schools at the time the notifications are sent or whether they like to receive them all at one time, at the end of each day.
Just follow these simple steps:
On a computer:

Log into the ParentSquare Portal. Click your name at the top of the home screen, then click “My Account” from the dropdown menu

Select “Notification Settings” from the menu on the lefthand side of the screen

Select how often you would like to receive messages to your email, via text and through the app from the district and your students’ schools

“Off” means you will not receive messages through that method. “Instant” means you will receive the messages as they are sent. “Digest” means the messages will be collected and delivered to you via that method at the end of each day (around 6 p.m.)

All emergency messages will be received immediately, regardless of your notification settings.
On a mobile device:

Log into the ParentSquare Portal

Click the “Waffle” icon (three stacked, horizontal lines) at the top of the home screen, then click “Account” on the dropdown menu

Select “Notifications” from the display on your screen

Select how often you would like to receive messages to your email, via text and through the app from the district and your students’ schools

You can toggle each messaging method “Off,” which means you will not receive messages through that method. “Instant” means you will receive the messages as they are sent. “Digest” means the messages will be collected and delivered to you via that method at the end of each day (around 6 p.m.)

All emergency messages will be received immediately, regardless of your notification settings
Please note: Parentsquare recommends the “Digest” setting for all methods so that parents receive all of the messages and posts for the day at one time. Even if you select “Digest,” you will still receive emergency messages immediately, as those messages override users’ notification preferences. Are you having difficulty finding past messages from the district or your schools? ParentSquare includes a helpful search function that parents can use to call up past messages through keywords.
Just follow these simple steps:
On a computer:

Log into the ParentSquare Portal

Find the “Search Posts” bar at the top of the home screen

Enter the keywords you are searching for into the bar and click “Enter”

The search will produce results that match your keywords

You also have the option of refining your search by selecting date ranges, who the post was sent by and other features. Just click on the “Advanced Search” icon (three stacked, horizontal bars with circles on them) to the right of the search bar on the home screen
On a mobile device:

Log into the ParentSquare Portal
