Rockwood Students Earn Spots in All-State Choir, Children's Choir

 Rockwood students who earned spots in the All-State Choir smile in their school photosA total of six students from Eureka, Lafayette and Marquette high schools have earned spots in the All-State Choir. In addition, nine students from Blevins, Fairway and Geggie elementary schools earned spots in the All-State Children's Choir.

Eureka High's Logan Deakin (tenor - alternate); Marquette's Lucy Dean (alto - first alternate) and Nora Dean (soprano); Eureka High's Anja Hartmann (soprano); Lafayette's Christopher Songco (tenor - first alternate); and Eureka High's Sophia Meseth (soprano - alternate) were selected for the All-State Choir.

Hartmann also earned a perfect score in sightreading and qualified for the state sightreading competition.

Both groups will perform at the Missouri Music Educators Association (MMEA) Conference at the Lake of the Ozarks in January.
