The Rockwood School District is holding a Job Fair on Thursday, March 2, for anyone who may be interested in a variety of part-time or full-time positions open across the district. Rockwood is the largest school district in St. Louis County and one of the largest in Missouri. Like many employers, Rockwood has an ongoing need to fill support staff positions that include bus drivers, child nutrition workers, child care workers, custodians, maintenance staff and groundskeepers.
“We have not been immune to the staffing challenges plaguing our nation,” shared Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources Dr. Katie Reboulet. “But Rockwood is an amazing place to work and, because of our size and our resources, we have the ability to offer highly competitive pay and benefits you may not see elsewhere.”
Many of the open positions have flexible shifts, and some of the benefits include paid holidays and not having to work in the evenings and on weekends. Rockwood also offers perfect attendance incentives.
Reboulet says she hopes the Job Fair helps shine a light on those opportunities and encourages people who are looking for work to consider the many benefits of working in a school environment. The district currently has dozens of openings for a variety of positions and shifts that could fit the needs of someone looking for work or someone who just wants to give back and make a difference in their community.
“There is no greater joy than working with kids,” she said. “Even if you are just looking for something part-time, what better way to spend a portion of your day making a difference in the lives of our young people?”
Interested candidates are encouraged to apply for a position or positions on the district website before attending the Job Fair on March 2. Interviews will be held on site, and applicants are encouraged to bring a copy of their resume.
