Board Seeks Community Input in the Search for a New Rockwood Superintendent
The Board of Education is working with School Exec Connect, an educational search firm, to hire a new superintendent for the Rockwood School District. In an effort to understand what qualities stakeholders feel the Board should be looking for and what priorities the new superintendent should focus on, all stakeholders - students, staff, parents and community members - are encouraged to weigh in. Opportunities to participate include:
Wednesday, Oct. 20, at 4:30 p.m. at Rockwood Summit High in the Commons
Thursday, Oct. 21, at 4:30 p.m. at Marquette High in the Library
Community Public Forums
Wednesday, Oct. 20, at 6 p.m. at Rockwood Summit High in the Commons
Thursday, Oct. 21, at 6 p.m. at Marquette High in the Library
Findings from the survey, the open forums and several focus group conversations will be used to develop a New Superintendent Profile that will be reported to the Board on Nov. 18, 2021.
“As we move forward, our most important consideration is securing the strongest candidate pool and ultimately the best person to lead our district,” said Board President Jaime Bayes. “The Board of Education looks forward to the support and assistance of our community with this very important undertaking.”
