Rockwood School District is the No. 4 district in the state of Missouri and is ranked among the top 3 percent of all districts in the country, according to Niche.com's 2023 rankings!

Niche, a website that helps families discover schools and neighborhoods, based its rankings on a number of factors, including academics; teachers; culture and diversity; parent/student surveys; health and safety; resources and facilities; clubs and activities; and sports.

As a district, Rockwood received an A+ grade from the site and ranked in the top 1 percent of the 455 districts surveyed in the state. All 29 of our elementary, middle and high schools received at least an A- grade, including five that received an A+ and 17 that received an A.

“Rockwood School District is an excellent place for students to learn, cooperate with teachers and succeed,” wrote one recent graduate in the Niche reviews section. “Every teacher is kind and welcoming, emphasizing growth and commitment over anything else. Further, teachers are great listeners for all of your problems and help you solve them, one after another.”

Rockwood is ranked No. 229 in Niche's national rankings, in the top 3 percent of nearly 11,000 districts polled nationwide.

Lafayette (No. 3), Marquette (No. 5), Rockwood Summit (No. 10) and Eureka (No. 12) all finished within the top 3 percent of the more than 500 Missouri public high schools surveyed in the rankings. Lafayette and Marquette both earned grades of A+ and finished in the top 3 percent nationally of the more than 20,000 ranked high schools.

Crestview (No. 3), Wildwood (No. 9), Rockwood Valley (No. 11) and Selvidge (No. 16) finished within the top 4 percent of more than 500 state public middle schools and the top 4 percent of more than 25,000 nationally ranked middle schools. Crestview also received a grade of A+.

Wild Horse (No. 12), Chesterfield (No. 13), Kehrs Mill (No. 14) and Woerther (No. 21) finished within the top 2 percent of more than 1,100 state public elementary schools. Wild Horse and Chesterfield both earned grades of A+, and they and Kehrs Mill ranked among the top 2 percent of more than 50,000 nationally surveyed elementary schools.
