SMS Weekly Wrap Up 9.10.21

 SMS We Got This

Greetings SMS Community!

Our short, but work-filled week, has us up and running smoothly here at SMS.

On Friday we celebrated Patriot Day and many of us wore our Red, White, and Blue.  The students now have access to the SMS ExtraCurricular Clubs and Activities Booklet.  Here is a link to the booklet so that you might be able to check out was is being offered to kick us off.

After school activities will run on Tuesdays and Wednesdays most weeks.  While there is transportation provided, space is limited and the time it can take a student to get home varies depending on ridership.  If parents are able to pick up their child(ren) from Selvidge at 3:45pm, it is strongly suggested.  The ECA (ExtraCurricularActivities) Booklet can be found by clicking on this link.  All students who plan on staying for activities must have a permission slip filled out.  Please follow this link to fill out a permission slip if you still need to do so.

Next week we will have our first iDay (Innovation Day) of the school year.  On these days, students will see all of their classes and then have STARtime at the end of the day.  Students will be having team-building activities, determining their team names and decorating their team hallways and doors.  It should be fun for all!!

As a reminder, if your child is not feeling well, please keep them at home.  Also, if someone in your household has recently been tested for COVID-19, students in the family who attend Selvidge should stay home until the results come back.  If the results are negative, then students are able to come to school.  If the results are positive, then students should stay at home.  Either way, please keep the school aware of what is happening by calling our Attendance Line at 636-891-6115.  We must work together to keep all of us safe!

Sincerely,

Mike

P.S.--Stay Safe and Well
