Board of Education Approves Hire of Charles "Buddy" Sodemann as Eureka High Assistant Principal
The Rockwood Board of Education has approved the hiring of Charles “Buddy” Sodemann as a new assistant principal at Eureka High, beginning July 1. He replaces Dan Thoman, who is retiring at the end of the school year.
Currently, Sodemann is the interim assistant principal at Clayton High, a position he has held for the past year. Prior to that, he was a health and physical education teacher for six years in Clayton and the Northwest School District. He is also currently the head boys basketball coach at Clayton High and has seven years of experience as an assistant coach at the collegiate level. Sodemann led multiple initiatives at Clayton High and is a member of the Missouri Leadership Development System.
Sodemann earned his Bachelor of Arts in Physical Education from Westminster College, a Master of Science in Sports Management from Illinois State University and a Master of Science in Educational Administration from Southwest Baptist University.
"I am incredibly honored to be joining Eureka High School and the Rockwood School District this coming year,” shared Sodemann. “I look forward to building relationships with and supporting the stakeholders at Eureka High and working toward the mission of the Rockwood School District in doing whatever it takes to ensure all students realize their potential."
Sodemann lives with his wife, Meaghan, and their two children in Pacific.
