Board of Education Approves Hire of Kristina Groves as Crestview Middle Assistant Principal

The Rockwood Board of Education has approved the hiring of Kristina Groves as a new assistant principal at Crestview Middle, beginning July 1. Groves is replacing Jessica Sumner, who will be the new assistant principal at Kehrs Mill Elementary.
Groves has taught eighth-grade science at Crestview for the past nine years. Prior to that, she taught middle school science in the Ste. Genevieve School District for five years. Groves has worked on multiple school and district committees and has been a science Professional Learning Council lead, extracurricular activities coordinator, science competitions leader and a Lighthouse Team events leader at Crestview. She participated in the Rockwood Ignite program for future administrators and coached softball at Rockwood Summit High for six years.
Groves earned a Bachelor of Science in Education from Missouri State University and a Master of Science in Educational Administration from Missouri Baptist University.
“I am thrilled to be serving the Crestview community in a new leadership role,” said Groves. “I can’t wait to welcome the students in the fall and help continue to make Crestview an exceptional place to learn.”
Groves lives with her husband, Nathan, and their two daughters in Des Peres.
