Rockwood Schools Honored at Annual American Heart Association 'Hearties' Awards

Rockwood was honored as the No. 2 district in the state of Missouri at the 2021 American Heart Association Hearties virtual award ceremony recently! The ceremony recognizes schools and districts in Missouri that participate in the Kids Heart Challenge or Ameri​​can Heart Challenge programs.
 
In addition, Woerther Elementary was named the No. 4 school in the state, Kellison Elementary was named a Champion School for its region, and Babler Elementary's Drew Hagen was named a Volunteer Loyalty Award winner. Former district PE/Health Coordinator Dr. Patrick Fine and former Superintendent Dr. Mark Miles also earned a Lifetime Achievement Award.
 
In all, Rockwood schools raised nearly $77,000 to benefit the American Heart Association during the 2020-2021 school year and have raised a total of $1.6 million over the years!
