Rockwood Commemorates the 20th Anniversary of 9/11

On this solemn occasion, Rockwood School District honors the memory of those we lost on that day and celebrates the perseverance exhibited by our country in the aftermath.

In this video, Rockwood middle and high school students read from excerpted remarks delivered at a 2016 national memorial observance, and Metro West Fire Protection District Chief of Fire and EMS Mike Krause describes what it means to serve our community.

 

Lafayette High Patriot Day Observance
On the morning of Friday, Sept. 10, Lafayette High held its annual Patriot Day ceremony, featuring an AFJROTC color guard and performances by the school's brass sextet and choir. After the ceremony, local first responders and military personnel were treated to an appreciation breakfast at the school. See some pictures from the event below.

Board of Education Resolution
Read a resolution recognizing and honoring the 20th Anniversary of the 9/11 attacks on the United States that the Rockwood Board of Education passed during its Sept. 2, 2021 meeting.
